TTC Tips December 14. 2012
Hi there
Why Prepare for Conception?

Many happy pregnancies are unplanned, but doctors now urge couples to think ahead and prepare for conception for six to 12 months! If you've made the big decision to get going on baby-making, it can be hard to hold back. But consider this: The formation of sperm and the maturation of eggs may take up to four months, so any change you make in diet or lifestyle or chemical exposure will take at least that long to influence conception and your baby's health. In other words, if you conceive a baby tomorrow, you're working with eggs and sperm that started developing three months ago -- how well were you taking care of yourself then? So today, learn why you should prepare for pregnancy, and take heart: If you don't get pregnant on the very first try; it gives you this important prep time! Good health, good luck, and see you in two weeks!
